About NYRAILS

NYRAILS was formed in 2004 to be a framework for collaborative efforts among ionic liquids researchers based primarily in (but not limited to) the New York region. Our expertise ranges from molecular dynamics simulations through experimental dynamics, diffusion and reaction kinetics, design, synthesis and characterization of new ionic liquids, organic synthesis and catalysis in ionic liquids, micellar and multiphase systems, to microbiology and toxicology. In addition to collaborative scientific work and joint proposals, we organize meetings, provide educational and research opportunities, and facilitate information transfer concerning ionic liquids.
